It is easy to tell people, “Don’t just talk the talk but you must walk the walk”, but it is hard to actually do it. Part of the problem is that little voice that that tries to talk each of us into doing things that you know you should not be doing.

John 10: 4-5,

4. When he (Jesus) has brought out all his own (His children), he goes on ahead of them (He leads them), and his sheep follow him because they know his voice (They have spent time with Jesus).

5. But they will never follow a stranger (the devil); in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."

We are the anchor that anchors ourselves to Christ. It is our call. We have free will to follow Christ or not. It is completely up to us to cast down the evil imaginations that Satan tries to get us to act on. Christ has great opportunities for each of us, and those opportunities will only come to pass as long as we:

Listen to the voice and leading of Christ.

Actually do what Christ is telling us to do. AND

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

2 Corinthians 10:5,

5. commands us, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

Someday we will each stand before Christ and give account for what we have done. Christ will ask, "What is your "body of my work?". There are far too many christian who will show up at the Pearly Gates with answers like:
1. Well last Christmas I went the Church's free Christmas dinner. It was really good! and I saw the play. That was real good too!
2. I put 20 cents in the offering plate last year (When I could have easily done more) and I claimed that I put in $50.00 on my taxes.

I just did a study of Luke 19: 12-27. It starts out with Jesus calling His servants (these are people that Christ called His servants) together and giving them money (the tools to accomplish His work on Earth). Later in the lesson they all stand before Christ to give an account of what they have done. Only two (2) of the ten (10) get into heaven. There are so many lame excuses for doing nothing when there is so much to do. Jesus tells one of the servants that they could have put the money in the bank and received interest. Which is the parable way of saying that if you gave the money to the church at least they would have done something with it and you would get the credit for what was done. There is so much to do! There are so many ways to help!

What is your "body of my work?"
